You can find this boutique hotel within 110 acres of tropical hillside on a peninsula in Montego Bay. There’s a small private beach, as well as an infinity pool. The spa is also excellent, with a dedicated yoga deck.

Sandals South Coast

If you seriously prioritize seclusion in your honeymoon destination, you should check out Sandals South Coast. This all-inclusive, adults-only resort is tucked away in southern Jamaica.

Sandals South Coast is located within a massive, private nature reserve and has 2 miles of private beach for guests to enjoy.

What really sets this resort apart are its romantic overwater bungalows. These are twelve private bungalows off of the main resort, over the Caribbean Sea, with full butler service included. They’re very expensive but, make no mistake, they get booked far in advance!

Excellence Oyster Bay

Location: Falmouth

On Jamaica’s north coast, Excellence Oyster Bay is one of the best resorts you could stay at. This all-inclusive, adults-only resort is on a private peninsula near Falmouth, in the quiet parish of Trelawny.

The luxury never ends at this resort. Most rooms have ocean views, large balconies, living areas, and plunge pools. Beachside and poolside service are offered, as well as butler service for those staying in the beach villas.

You can take the luxury even further by becoming a member of the Excellence Club. By doing so,  you can gain access to a private pool and bar, as well as get private check-in and dining.

Jamaica Inn

Location: Ocho Rios

Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller had their honeymoon at Jamaica Inn back in the 1950s and it still makes a great choice today!

Jamaica Inn is an all-inclusive-optional boutique hotel, with 48 suites designed with an Old World flair. Intimacy and connection are encouraged here, so there are no TVs in the suites. It’s not adults-only, though children under 10 are not allowed.

This hotel is super private and romantic, hidden away in a private cove with a large beach. A great way to start your honeymoon here is to visit the open-air, oceanfront spa and get a couples treatment.

Half Moon

Location: Montego Bay

Half Moon is a world-famous resort that is often frequented by royalty, including the royal families of the United Kingdom and Monaco!

It’s a family-friendly resort but is divided into three sections, one of which is perfect for honeymooners. It’s called Eclipse, featuring a private stretch of beach, an infinity pool, and suites with outdoor living areas.

Half Moon is well known for housing the Fern Tree Spa, the largest spa in Jamaica. Here you’ll find a yoga pavilion, an aromatherapy steam room, and a fitness center. If you’re both into wellness and spa treatments, this is the place to be.

Strawberry Hill

Location: Kingston

Kingston often gets overlooked when couples are looking for honeymoon resorts in Jamaica. Don’t be so quick to dismiss the island’s capital! Strawberry Hill, just outside Kingston, is a fantastic spot for a honeymoon.

Strawberry Hill is on a former coffee plantation, nestled in the Blue Mountains. From up here, you get breathtaking panoramic views of Kingston from above.

This boutique hotel is made up of 12 individual cottages, each having a private terrace or balcony. Needless to say, the atmosphere here is incredibly intimate and private.

Despite the few cottages, you’ll find all the amenities you need. There’s an infinity pool, restaurant, bar, and spa which has a sauna, hydrotherapy room, and yoga deck.

Sunset at the Palms

Location: Negril

Sunset at the Palms is an all-inclusive resort that is teeming with nature at every step. Palm trees, ferns, and tropical flowers are everywhere throughout the property.

This resort is adults-only and is usually very quiet, with a romantic atmosphere. It’s a popular resort for destination weddings and honeymoons.

The standout offering here is the treehouse-style rooms located within an Architectural Digest-approved garden. There’s also a small tropical garden spa on-site. One thing to note, though, is that this isn’t a beachfront property — the beach is across the street.

Couples Swept Away

Location: Negril

Couples Swept Away is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort that is specifically geared towards — you guessed it — couples. It’s a very relaxed and quiet spot, making it great for couples who’d like a tranquil honeymoon.

Couples Swept Away is located on acres of lush greenery, with a spot on one of Jamaica’s best beaches: Seven Mile Beach.

Honeymooners who are into fitness and wellness will feel very at home when they’re at Couples Swept Away. The full-service spa and fitness complex are the highlights of this resort.

Sandals Royal Plantation

Location: Ocho Rios

For an all-inclusive resort, Sandals Royal Plantation is fairly small and intimate, with just 74 suites. They perfectly blend Old World charm with a more modern, tropical flair.

Guests here have free access to the nearby Sandals Ochi, greatly expanding the range of restaurants, bars, and amenities available. This is a one-way deal, though — guests at Sandals Ochi can’t freely enter Royal Plantation, so the intimate atmosphere is preserved.

Golf lovers will want to consider Sandals Royal Plantation, as a stay here includes green fees for the nearby Sandals Golf & Country Club.

Tensing Pen

Location: Negril

If you’re looking for a rustic honeymoon experience in Jamaica, consider staying at Tensing Pen. This boutique hotel consists of 22 luxury thatched roof cottages, mere steps away from the Caribbean Sea.

Tensing Pen isn’t directly located on the beach, instead being situated on a rocky waterfront area. If you’re into cliff-diving, you can do so just outside of your room, or head over to the famous Rick’s Cafe, just a short walk from the hotel.

As is quite common for these kinds of boutique hotels, you’ll find that there are no TVs here, though the rooms feel modern and have all the other amenities you’d expect.

Couples Tower Isle

Location: Tower Isle

Couples Tower Isle, near Ocho Rios, is a small, adults-only, all-inclusive resort. It has just 24 rooms, making for a very intimate honeymoon.

Off of the main resort, Couples Tower Isle has a private island with a nude beach. It’s not just clothing-optional, it’s clothing-prohibited!
