Sandals Grande St Lucian Overview
Sandals Grande St. Lucian is an all-inclusive luxury resort situated on a peninsula adjacent to Pigeon Island National Park in St. Lucia. The resort is set along a long picturesque beach which is very calm with clear water. The resort offers a variety of room and suite options, including beachfront rooms, swim-up suites, and private over-the-water bungalows.
At Sandals Grande St Lucian there is something for everyone. You can relax in privacy in the overwater bungalows or be part of the more lively party at the main pool with a swim-up bar.
Sandals Halcyon Beach Overview
Sandals Halcyon Beach is situated in Castries in Saint Lucia and is known for being the smallest Sandals resort in Saint Lucia and the most calm and relaxed.
The resort is best known for its long swimming pool next to multiple buildings of suites. This is an ideal resort if you want someplace quiet to relax by the pool. Since the resort is smaller it is also easy to make friends with other guests if that is something you are interested in.
Sandals Regency La Toc Overview
Sandals Regency La Toc is the largest Sandals Resort in Saint Lucia and there is something for everyone. It is set within a 220-acre estate along a half-mile beach and is known for its stunning oceanfront cliffs and lush surroundings.
One side of the resort includes the Sunset Bluff Village, featuring luxurious rooms and suites perched on a bluff with panoramic ocean views where you can catch the sunset each night. It has its own pool with a swim-up bar.
The main area of the resort is where you find the beach and a more lively pool with daily entertainment. The beach here has a bit more waves and currents which we love but makes it harder to relax for others.
Comparing The Beaches
When choosing between the Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia, the beaches might make the decision easier for you.
If you want a clear water beach with calm water, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is the winner. It is located on a peninsula with calm waters and a relatively expansive beachfront with panoramic views. Since the water is so calm, motorized water sports are available daily and included in the price.
Because the beach is so large you can enjoy more relaxing vibes on the areas further from the center or near the center you can hear the pool entertainment and enjoy a more lively time.
If the beach is a key deciding factor in your choice, we can’t recommend Sandals Halcyon beach. It did not have the clear blue Caribbean water many look for in a beach getaway. The good thing is it is easy to get a beach chair and you can always take the shuttle to Sandals Grande St Lucian.
We loved the beach at Sandals Regency La Toc. It is actually tied for my favorite beach at a Sandals Resorts. However, I understand why some people do not enjoy the beach there. The beach gets wavy. Once you get past the waves it is very relaxing but we did see several people have trouble getting out of the water due to the conditions. This is also not a good choice if you are hoping to go kayaking or use other water sports because there are a lot of days where the conditions do not allow for it.
Comparing The Food
The food at all the Sandals Resorts is somewhat similar, but there are a few differences.
In general I will say that Sandals Halcyon Beach has fewer options since it is a smaller resort. We did love the lunch buffet which changed daily and included more local cuisine than other Sandals Resorts.
Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Grande St Lucian both have many restaurants to choose from and I wouldn’t pick one over the other.
Regardless of which resort you go to, Sandals Resorts are well-known for their all-inclusive packages, which place a strong emphasis on providing a diverse and high-quality culinary experience. You can expect to find a variety of cuisines, including Caribbean, Italian, French, Asian, Mediterranean, and more, ensuring there’s something for every palate.
If you do realize that there is a restaurant at one of the other resorts you can always go there for the day.
Comparing Accommodations
When it comes to comparing accommodations at the different Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia, there is quite a variety.
The most unique that stands out are the overwater bungalows at Sandals Grande St Lucian. If you can afford these rooms you will only find them at that resort.
The Rondoval Suites are also very unique and available at Sandals Grande St Lucian and Sandals Halcyon.
The other accommodations that really stand out are the suites on the Sunset Bluffs area in Sandals Regency La Toc. These have great ocean views from above with amazing sunset views.
Comparing The Price
There is a huge difference in price depending on the resort and suite you choose in Saint Lucia.
In general Sandals Grande St Lucian is always the most expensive. Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Halcyon Beach are more closely matched.
